This full-bodied tasty red wine offers rich flavors of silky plum and dark berries that dominate the bouquet. This ruby red varietal with reflections of garnets is truly a gem. After fermentation, the wine is aged several months in oak barrels to add an extra level of depth and complexity. It is long and smooth on the finish with a pleasant hint of vanilla. Originally from the mountainous Abruzzo region in central Italy, this vine does well in our high desert climate.
